Description:
Worried about potential Year-2000 problems with your workbooks? The
J-Walk Date Report
add-in can help you identify such problems. The add-in generates a worksheet database
report that describes each date cell in a worksheet. The figure below shows sample output
from the add-in.

The add-in will not identify Year-2000 problems, but it may help you identify
them. For example, look at row 8 in the figure above. This tells you that cell A29
contains a date in the year 1900. Notice that the cell looks identical to cell A28 (which
contains a date for the year 2000). This type of error is very easy to overlook.
NOTE: This add-in requires Excel 97 or Excel 2000, and it will not work
with Excel 5 or Excel 95.
The Date Report add-in is fully functional, not crippled, and has no nag messages. It's
absolutely free, with no strings attached. It is, however, beta software. So use caution
when interpreting the results. Please report any problems to support@j-walk.com.

Instructions:
When you select Tools - J-Walk Date Report from the menu, you'll see the dialog box
shown below.

Select the scope of the report, then click OK. The report will appear in a new workbook
(you'll see a progress indicator as the report is being generated).
Once the report is generated, you can examine the information to help identify
potential problems. For example, you can sort by column H (Year) so you can see the
earliest and latest years in the worksheet. |
